New Harbour Distillery: Inspired by Africa, perfected in the lab

New Harbour Distillery is making waves in the craft spirits industry with a range of premium distilled spirits. Six years ago, founders Nic and Andri Janeke had an ingenious concept to shake up traditional drinks by combining art, science, and chemistry. The old industrial heart of Cape Town Harbour – Woodstock – became home to an innovative experimental micro-distillery, creating exceptional spirits with nature and science in mind.

Perfecting their craft by using local, organic ingredients, New Harbour Distillery produces a range of award-winning gins, vodka, brandy, rum & more.

"The soul of New Harbour Distillery is to find inspiration from the beautiful South African landscape and sustainably use its treasures to give customers spirits that are of exceptional quality. Every drop is distilled with precision by our team of scientists," says Nic Janeke, COO and master distiller.

Inspired by Africa. Perfected in the lab.

New Harbour Distillery finds inspiration from Africa’s unique nature and only uses sustainably sourced organic ingredients to distil its range of craft spirits. Their batch disti lled products are bottled by hand, and the entire distilling and packaging process has zero waste, paving their road to becoming a 100% carbon-neutral distillery. To create award-winning spirits, New Harbour uses cutting-edge research and innovation to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern processes.

Red-hot partnership with Firebrand Africa.

After years of playing in the online arena, New Harbour Distillery has now partnered with Firebrand Africa to bring South Africans exceptional spirits to their nearest retailer and liquor store.

"We're so pleased to be listed on the shelves at well-known and independent retailers across South Africa. With the help of the capable team at Firebrand, we're excited for this next phase of getting our products in front of customers who love the country, its beauty, and unique botanicals just as much as we do," says Janeke.
