Picture this: a shipment arrives at the Tamdhu distillery gates, carrying within the essence of Spain – Oloroso Sherry casks. As the doors open, the air is filled with the aroma of sherry, a prelude to the transformation that is about to take place.

From the moment their founders secured the first shipment of sherry casks in 1897 to the present day, their commitment to excellence has remained unwavering. For more than 125 years, Tamdhu has exclusively matured its whisky in these exquisite Oloroso sherry casks. Thamdhu's story is one of ambition and innovation. In the late 19th century, a group of visionaries pooled their resources to create something extraordinary – the finest whisky in the world. With the expertise of renowned architect Charles C Doig, the idyllic location beside the River Spey, and the finest sherry casks from Spain, Tamdhu was born.

Tamdhu is globally recognised for it's exceptional quality. Each year the Tamdhu expressions are rewarded by the International Spirits competitions for their excellence.

Thamdhu 12 Year old

Dedicated to silly smoothness.

Cinnamon, dried fruit, ground spice, berry jam and a faint hint of mint. Only released when the exact Tamdhu fruit intensity notes are mastered.

Nose: Rich and enticing, iced cinnamon rolls, orange boiled sweets, fresh sweet oak with raisins and the faint hint of mint.

Palate: Silky texture that coats the mouth with banana, berry jam, malt biscuit and classic sherry oak depth.

Finish: Pleasantly long and balanced with ground spice, dried fruit and soft Scottish tablet – finally unveiling the merest wisp of peat smoke.

Tamdhu 15 Year old

Dedicated to fruit flavour intensitty

Apple, apricot, spiced currants, lemon tart, cream sherry and vanilla. Only released when the exact Tamdhu notes come to fruition.

Nose: An aromatic array of apple pastry, spiced currants and orange zest, with exotic notes of pineapple and fennel.

Palate: A burst of juicy apricot and vibrant raspberry, with lemon tart and creamy almonds on the palate.

Finish: A rewardingly long journey through warming malt biscuit, cream sherry and vanilla.
